Tips for Sourcing the Best Cybersecurity Talent

The cybersecurity industry has the same hiring problems as other industries.  Open jobs have recently increased in the cybersecurity industry due to the threat/ risk of attacks and actual cyber attacks that businesses have encountered in the past few years.  In 2021, there were 3.5 million open positions compared to 1 million in 2013, according to Fortune. More than ever, companies need to learn how to find good cyber talent and retain it.

Diversifying your candidate pool can be a considerable advantage when recruiting talent.  Cybersecurity is an industry that has a lot of room for growth when it comes to recruiting women, minorities, veterans, people with disabilities, and people with non-traditional education.
