TikTok, a popular social media platform for creating and sharing videos, has announced that it now has the capability for people to apply for jobs. Prospective employees can apply to jobs through TikTok by creating a video resume. This was fueled by the rise of popularity of career and job-related content appearing on TikTok.

TikTok Resumes is a pilot program that has been designed to expand TikTok into the recruitment industry. TikTok is inviting job seekers to try out the feature and apply to participating companies. These companies include:

- Sony Music
- Target
- TikTok
- WWE
The positions that candidates can apply for range from entry level to experienced positions.
How do I make a TikTok Resume?
There are creators that candidates can follow for inspiration when creating a TikTok resume. Some examples of great TikTok resumes can be found here. According to @wonsulting, a TikTok content creator, this is important information to include when creating a resume on TikTok:
- use #TikTokresume when posting
- Education
- student/ new grad
- university and major/ degree
- GPA- only if it is above a 3.5
- relevant coursework (if applicable)
- organizations you were a part of
- Work Experience
- utilize impact metrics
- hard skills relevant to your industry
- Leadership Experience
- part of organizations where you have exec level positions (or ones that are impactful)

Another tip is that you need to sound excited and passionate in your videos because no one wants to watch a boring monotoned video. Use effects, pictures, and trends to make videos interesting.
